  • Lisianthus 'Cinderella Pink'

    Posted by Patti Tucker

These blocky-shaped cowpeas are two-toned with cream
and deep brown-red coloring along with some mottling.
This variety is not unknown in the south but the origin of its
colorful name is somewhat of a mystery. Botanical Explorer
Joseph Simcox strongly recommended that Baker Creek
Seeds carry this variety after he discovered a quantity of
it among the expansive seed collection, being housed at Baker Creek, of the late Mr Blaine Bourgeois, a long time and important seed saver from Arkansas.

    • I have hog brain peas growing right now. They have rambling vines about 6 or 7 feet long the pea pods sit up a bit off the ground making them easy to see and pick. When the vines reach anything upright they will quickly climb it. They are a beautiful and tasty pea.
